4. Do I need to use QuickBooks or Sage to work with you?
We recommend QuickBooks or Sage because of their flexibility and compatibility, but we can also help you transition from other systems.
5. Can I start even if my books are a mess?
Yes! Whether you’re behind or just disorganized, we’ll help clean up and catch up your books so you can move forward with clarity.
6. How do you handle communication and check-ins?
We assign a dedicated expert to your account. You’ll get regular updates, and you can reach out anytime via email or scheduled calls.
7. Do you offer a consultation before starting?

8. How long does onboarding usually take?
Onboarding typically takes a few business days, depending on your needs. We work efficiently to get you up and running without delay.
9. What do I need to provide before starting?
We’ll need access to your accounting software, bank/credit accounts, and a few basic business documents. Don’t worry, we’ll guide you through it all.

1. How does your pricing work?

2. Are there any long-term contracts?
We believe in earning your trust, not locking you in. Most of our plans are month-to-month, with the flexibility to scale up or adjust as your business changes.
3. Is there an onboarding fee?
Yes, we charge a one-time onboarding fee to ensure smooth setup, secure data migration, and a clean starting point for your books.
4. Do I have to pay extra for software subscriptions like QuickBooks?
Software costs are separate from our service fees. If you already have a subscription, we’ll work with it. If not, we can help you choose the right plan and assist with setup.
5. Can I customize a plan based on my needs?
Yes! Our services are fully customizable. We’ll help you build a plan based on your volume of transactions, business type, and the level of support you need.
6. Will my price go up as I grow?
As your business scales and your financial activity increases, we’ll reassess your plan to ensure you’re getting the right level of service. We’ll always notify you in advance of any changes.
Integration
Why use QuickBooks?
At FixIT Consul-Tech, we recommend QuickBooks Online because it offers clear advantages:

- Data flexibility: With QuickBooks, your financial data is always portable. If you ever change providers, your records stay intact and ready to use.
Can you migrate me from Xero or another system?
Yes, we can. During onboarding, we’ll help you transition your books to QuickBooks Online. We'll convert your data accurately, create journal entries, and ensure everything from your balance sheet to income statements reflects your business history correctly.
Taxes
How do taxes work with FixIT?
You have a couple of options. If you use our tax services, we handle business tax filing as an add-on to your bookkeeping plan. Tax prep is not included by default, so you'll need to request it separately. If you already have a tax preparer, we’re happy to deliver clean, accurate books to them, at no extra charge.
What does FixIT Tax include?
FixIT Tax includes federal and state income tax preparation, 1099-NEC e-filing, and ongoing support for any included deliverables. You’ll also receive timely updates and reminders so nothing gets missed.
If FixIT didn’t manage my books all year, can I still use your tax service?
Yes. We’ll review your existing books first to ensure they meet our standards. Once everything checks out, or we complete any clean-up, we can take care of your business taxes from there.
Do you handle personal tax returns?
We focus on business tax filings only and do not currently provide personal income tax services.
Can you file my 1099s?
Yes, if you use FixIT Tax. We’ll help you gather vendor details and e-file Form 1099-NEC with ease. If you're only on a bookkeeping plan, 1099 filing can be added separately.

When should I outsource CFO services instead of hiring in-house?

What does the process look like with FixIT CFO Services?
We start with a discovery call to understand your business goals and challenges. From there, we create a custom CFO support plan that may include financial planning, performance reporting, cash flow management, or growth strategy. Ecommerce Support
1. Why is ecommerce bookkeeping different?

2. What platforms do you support?

3. Can you manage inventory and track COGS?
Yes. We update your books monthly with inventory movements and calculate Cost of Goods Sold based on your data, including product costs, shipping, and fees.

5. Do you help with ecommerce KPIs or fundraising?
Yes. Through our CFO services, we help track key performance indicators like LTV, CAC, and inventory turns, and support you in building reports and models for investor presentations.
